He is one of only three of the sixteen “writers” at Hesbah who is addressed as Sheikh. He wrote a lengthy and detailed piece about the battle of ar-Raas (in which Abdulkarim al-Mejjati and more than a dozen others were eliminated) immediately after the battle, which tells me he is being kept informed by the enemy. He also has at least some kind of Western education.
