Alleged Claim for Oslo Attacks

Posted: 22nd July 2011 by Will McCants in Europe

This was posted by Abu Sulayman al-Nasir to the Arabic jihadi forum, Shmukh, around 10:30am EST (thread 118187).  Shmukh is the main forum for Arabic-speaking jihadis who support al-Qaeda.  Since the thread is now inaccessible (either locked or taken down), I am posting it here.  I don’t have time at the moment to translate the whole thing but I translated the most important bits on twitter.

Update: Abu Sulayman has now issued a retraction, stating clearly that “Helpers” was not involved in the operation and that his statement was not an official statement. He says those who carried out the attacks “must surely be known to all.”

Update2: “Surely known to all” apparently means a right-wing Norwegian extremist who likes World of Warcraft and Dexter.

If you need any assistance or would like to be included in emails, please let me know. My name up top is my pseudonym and I would appreciate that it stays that way. I will give you my sources with every report I send out so that your guys not only have access to what I see, but can also verify the information and vett it. Thank you for your time.

In the video, called “Knights Templar 2083″, Breivik obsesses on the Crusades, promotes fighting against Islam and multiculturalism. There are pictures of Anders Behring Breivik wearing a wetsuit and holding an automatic weapon, and fancying himself a knight fighting a crusade against Muslims.

Norway, host of the 1993 Palestinian-Israeli peace accords, said on Monday it was “perfectly legitimate” for Palestinians to take their case for statehood to the United Nations for voting in September.

“We will consider very carefully the proposed text that’s to be put forward by the Palestinians in the coming weeks,” said Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas beside him at a press conference.

“Norway believes it is perfectly legitimate for the Palestinian president to turn to the United Nations with such proposals,” Stoere said, adding that continued negotiations with Israel will be required in any case.

Anders Behring Breivik, the man being held for Friday’s shooting at an island off the coast of Norway, expressed anti-Islamic sentiments in English in the past and was an enthusiastic supporter of Israel, according to a Sunday-evening report by Channel 2 television. Breivik’s 1,500 page book attacks the European political establishment because he sees it as an ally of the Muslims against Israel, and praises Israel for not giving Muslims the same rights they enjoy in different European countries.

I truly hope that you all will one day see the damage you have caused, not only in Norway, but in every other country and to EVERY PERSON that you have killed or harmed in any way. I will continue to live my life the only way I see it; AS A FREE PERSON FREE FROM SUPPRESSION BY ANY THREAT OR FEAR. I will live the way I want to, no matter how much you try to scare us. And so will any other person who see reason. You may want to take a good look in the mirror and say to yourself; “Gee, I’m glad i cause MILLIONS in damage, KILLED SEVERAL PEOPLE and HARMED COUNTLESS OTHERS. I believe every person has the right to live and may be free to do so as they please, but GOD DAMNIT, DONT KILL PEOPLE! Especially in the name of a religion! Do you know how much prejudice and hate you are creating towards those who share your belief in a less radical manner? You people are sick, and I would LOVE to see you rot, either in a basement while hiding from peace, or in a jail-cell after receiving a fair trial the way democratic countries perform them.

For the record, Islam has nothing to do with the killing of Jews in WW2 so it is you who has the eyes fused shut with hatred…

We could not get a better example of the REAL problem. Such ignorant people as you are the cause of all this mess. There where never 6 million jews you ass (perception management, jews rule the world for long time). You had history lessons in what school? Ow yeah right education in US is not what it was, even by lottery now (I assume you are from the US giving your ignorance). Muhamed is right globalisation by British controlled US is the cause of all this together with the Cult of freemasons, he does not justify killing of children, don’t change his words. Before you judge, I am no muslim but I respect them, I live in the prison called Europe and would like to move to Africa asap. In an Arabic country when you are on the street to sleep people will take you in their homes to feed you and give you a place to sleep. Let’s compare with the West (oh yeah right individualistic society is good as long as we have all our material belongings). Do you really think US wants to help Somalia or Lybia (which was due to be a short humanitarian mission), hah look deep inside yourself and you will see who is the real cause (who invented the terms: first, second and third world country)

          • Real Jew says:

Do you know, the Murderer is not a Muslim, and he has close relationship with us(Mossad), and we are (jews) are most hated people in the earth, because of our false flag operations around the world (recent:New Zealand), and now Norway and we hire lot of retired veterans to go online to make Propoganda against poor muslims who are always the victims, they are not smart enough, but I think God is with them, why because all our smart tricks are exposed (recent:New Zealand Passport-Mossad) exposed by earth quake(from God), and now in Norway, the Main stream media immediately link the poor Muslims to terrorists but once he is not a Muslim they call him “madman”, our Jewish controlled media has always been a double standard and just like our Mordoch scandal (exposed by GOD). Because our atrocities God now turned against us and we are losing and we will lose.

So let me get this straight.
You’re saying that it is America’s fault that your fellow radical muslims are so violent and full of hate?

          So history repeats itself.
Your ancestors invade and kill millions, occupy lands, force coversion to islam, all is fine.
When the west responds to liberate the occupied Church Of Nativity and other Churches that were demolished by the muslim mobs, and to secure path to pilgrims to the holly land, they are murderers and evil.

Now when your fellow radical muslims terrorize the world, kill and behead thousands, all is fine, but when the US and other countries respond, they are evil and made one big mess out of the middle east.

It is never your fault, never islam’s fault, never the fault of the cult of death and humiliation of women and rape children called islam, it is always someone else’s fault.

And you wonder why the rest of the world wants nothing to do with your likes?
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

        • Lystring says:

For all you who claim this type of terrorism “is not Islam”, go read the Qur’an again.

Also read the rest of the Abrahamic religions, especially Judaism because the Qur’an makes references to it on many occasions, to understand that it’s perfectly legit to murder those who ARE NOT INNOCENTS, because GOD COMMANDS IT. The Qur’an justifies this, it references to the book of Moses where it is being said the same thing, and the hadith gives us the proof that these were the rules Muhammad and his followers lived by.

          To explain in detail:

The Qur’an forbids anyone to murder anyone who are, according to the book – innocent.
The Qur’an forbids anyone to commit first-hand aggression.

All you need is a justification for defining someone guilty – and technically all non-muslims are guilty of being unbelievers. Read the second sura and you clearly find evidence that a non-muslim is a lesser being in the eyes of Allah, guilty of turning away from the truth, evoking his wrath/curse.

All you need is a justification for self-defence, or an act in defence of Islam and the word of Allah. All forms of blasphemy is an act against “the truth”, and the military activity conducted by Norway in one of the most Islamic countries in northern Africa can certainly be interpreted as a war against the religion itself. Some verses even describe that it’s a muslim’s duty to carry out the will of Allah, so it’s not hard to justify these types of murdering.

The Qur’an is supposed to be the universal guidance for every situation, that means you can do peace with it as well as war. But as there is no god but Allah means everything that is not Islam comes second, or even third. Or not at all.

Even the so called “suicide bombing” is justified because it’s not an act of suicide but one of martyrdom. That’s completely different in the eyes of Islam, and is highly regarded in both the Qur’an and expressed by Muhammad himself in the hadiths.

And for you who think this blonde guy cannot be a muslim, perhaps you should learn that being a muslim is not a race, but simply someone with an idea. A muslim can be anyone.

However i don’t think the bombing and shootings in and around Oslo are purely religiously motivated, but please stop being hypocrites about Islam. It is the religion of peace for those who are muslims. For non-muslims this religion is not that peaceful and tolerant. If you cannot accept that perhaps you should consider another a more tolerant philosophy to guide your life.

As i said, read the Qur’an and its tafsirs again. And don’t skip the nasty parts.

          • Suleman says:

Dear Fellow Citizen of the Earth!

I am not surprised that one often feels hatred towards Islam and Muslims and interprets Quran in a similar way after all the hype and islamophobia that media has constantly been spreading and often the ‘crimes committed by so-called-Muslims’ are over exaggerated and religion is deliberately mentioned.

I am a Muslim, and have been following the orders in Quran obediently.
Yes I am aware that there are verses which asked people to fight and go to war with non-Muslims and also that Quran advises to continue Jihad. But also the conditions to go to such extent are clearly mentioned.
When the early Muslims fled to Madina from Makkah to escape the tyrannies they were put to face in Makkah, many had to leave their families back in Makkah. Their families (both free people and slaves) were excessively being tortured, mistreated and persecuted.
Refugees in Madina wanted to go back and fight back but they were not allowed to do so until the permission was granted through Quran.
Those ‘hateful’ verses in Quran relate specifically to such events only.
Yes Quran does include some guidelines of going to war and how to kill (as painlessly as possible) – if it becomes imminent.

The following verses in Quran are enough for me to maintain my faith and belief that Quran is indeed righteous and it does NOT support violence. And I am not reluctant at making fast friends among people who may not share same religious opinions as I do.

“Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes – from dealing kindly and justly with them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly. Allah only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion – (forbids) that you make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers.” (Quran 60:8-9)

And as an example, when a Christian delegation from Ethiopian churches came to Medina, our Prophet opened up his mosque for them to stay in, hosted them generously, and personally served them meals. He said:

“They were generous to our companions, so I wish to be generous to them in person…”

There are many MANY verses commanding me to be totally generous and kind to non-believers. And when Quran says non-believers it totally suggests those who do not believe in Quran.

“And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of God (the Quran). Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.” (Quran 9:6)

“Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, curtails their rights, burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I (Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment.” (Abu Dawud – Hadith)

There a lot to continue with but it is too late here and I would like to take a nap now.

I am your well wisher brother and it is my humble request to please keep yourself and your fellow citizens of the Earth from spreading hatred and violence because hatred begets hatred and had repeatedly resulted in the clash and destruction of human civilization.

            Peace!

As the days go by following the horrific slaughter at Utoya and the bombing in Oslo, the information has only become more confused and self-contradictory.

The media began with the baseless conjecture that it was an al Qaeda-affiliated group behind the attacks. The only evidence presented was the fact that threats had been made against Norway in the past and of course the highly reliable source that is jihadist forums.

Wired’s Danger Room ran with a story that only proposed Muslim terrorists as the culprits. Despite the same amount of evidence pointing to other interests behind the attack, they decided to run with the Islamophobic current that is all-too-common in the Western world.

People draw pictures of Jesus, God, Mary and the like without ONE riot/death because of it but oh no if someone draws Mohammed….death and riots all over the world from some supposed “peaceful” religion.

If there was a virus that could systematically whipe out every muslim, good or bad, I’d be all for it. The world would be a better place without your fucked up religion.

And just for the record, I hate all organized religion, I just wish death and misery for yours.

As evidence continues to point to the Mossad/CIA/NATO Operation Gladio network as the real culprits of the Norway terror attacks it is important to note that The Mossad has been involved in killings in Norway before.

          From Wikipedia:

The Lillehammer affair refers to the assassination by Mossad agents of a Moroccan waiter, Ahmed Bouchiki, in Lillehammer, Norway on July 21, 1973.

The Israeli agents had mistaken their victim for Ali Hassan Salameh, the chief of operations for Black September. Most of the Mossad team were captured and tried for the murder, in a major blow to the intelligence agency’s reputation.

      • RUNutz? says:

        • Anonposter216 says:

Uh oh, someone just made a whole slew of absolute statements and therefore has the burden of proof. Can you prove that there is no god or afterlife? No, you cannot, therefore your absolute statements are a failure in reason. I personally believe that Islam is indeed a lie, based on the fact that Muhammad was warmonger, had a nine year old wife and was considered to have been demonically possessed at one point (see Satanic Verses). But it’s a belief, not knowledge. I certainly can’t prove that Islam is 100% false, and you certainly can’t that there is or isn’t a God or Afterlife. It just makes you look like a close-minded militant atheist, who have, by the way, slaughtered more people in the 20th century than all of the religious wars across history combined. So until you have objective proof for your claims, be the agnostic that you should be or shut the Hell up ;)

“In reality Islam is a revolutionary ideology and programme which seeks to alter the social order of the whole world and rebuild it in conformity with its own tenets and ideals. ‘Muslim’ is the title of that International Revolutionary Party organized by Islam to carry into effect its revolutionary programme. And ‘Jihad’ refers to that revolutionary struggle and utmost exertion which the Islamic Party brings into play to achieve this objective…Islam wishes to destroy all States and Governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and programme of Islam regardless of the country or the Nation which rules it…It must be evident to you from this discussion that the objective of Islamic ‘Jihad’ is to eliminate the rule of an un-Islamic system and establish in its stead an Islamic system of State rule. Islam does not intend to confine this revolution to a single State or a few countries; the aim of Islam is to bring about a universal revolution.”
—- Syed Abul A’ala Maududi (1903 – 1979) Sunni Pakistani journalist, theologian, Muslim revivalist leader and political philosopher, major 20th century Islamist thinker, prominent political figure in Pakistan and the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, the Islamic revivalist party

“The theory that our religion is a peaceful and loving religion is a wrong theory…The Holy War as it is known in Islam is basically an offensive war, and it is the duty of all Muslims of every age, when the needed military power is available, because our prophet Muhammad said that he is ordered by Allah to fight all people until they say ‘No God but Allah,’ and he is his messenger…It is meaningless to talk about the Holy War as only defensive, otherwise, what did the prophet mean when he said, “from now on even if they don’t invade you, you must invade them.”
—-Dr. M. Sa’id Ramadan Al-Buti (b. 1929), head of the Beliefs and Religions Department in The Faculty of the Islamic Law, Damascus University, and a member of the High Council of Oxford Academy in England, author of ‘Jihad: How to Understand and Practice It’

“The Western distinction between just and unjust wars linked to specific grounds for war is unknown in Islam. Any war against unbelievers, whatever its immediate ground, is morally justified. Only in this sense can one distinguish just and unjust wars in Islamic tradition. When Muslims wage war for the dissemination of Islam, it is a just war (futuhat, literally “opening,” in the sense of opening the world, through the use of force, to the call to Islam); when non-Muslims attack Muslims, it is an unjust war (‘idwan).”
—-Bassam Tibi (b. 1944), Muslim German political scientist of Syrian origin who has taught at Göttingen, Harvard, and Cornell University.

“The great prophet of Islam in one hand carried the Koran and in the other a sword; the sword for crushing the traitors and the Koran for guidance. For those who could be guided, the Koran was their means of guidance, while as for those who could not be guided and were plotters, the sword descended on their heads. … Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels but a religion of guidance for other people.”
—-Ayatollah Khomeini (1902-1989) Iran’s Supreme Leader from 1979 to 1989—the highest ranking political and religious authority of the nation.

“The term jihad is derived from the the verb jahada which means “exerted”; its juridical-theological meaning is exertion of one’s power in Allah’s path, that is, the spread of belief in Allah and in making His word supreme over this world. The individual’s recompense would be the achievement of salvation, since the jihad is Allah’s direct way to paradise…The jihad, in the broad sense of exertion, does not necessarily mean war or fighting, since exertion in Allah’s path may be achieved by peaceful as well as violent means. The jihad my be regarded as a form of religious propaganda that can be carried on by persuasion or by the sword.”
—-Majid Khadduri (1909-2007) Islamic scholar, law professor, author, internationally recognized as a leading authority on modern Islamic history and politics of the Middle East, founder of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies Middle East Studies program

“Kufr and Islam are opposed to each other. The progress of one is possible only at the expense of the other and co-existences between these two contradictory faiths is unthinkable. The honor of Islam lies in insulting kufr and kafirs. One who respects kafirs, dishonors the Muslims. To respect them does not merely mean honouring them and assigning them a seat of honor in any assembly, but it also implies keeping company with them or showing considerations to them. They should be kept at an arm’s length like dogs. … If some worldly business cannot be performed without them, in that case only a minimum of contact should be established with them but without taking them into confidence. The highest Islamic sentiment asserts that it is better to forgo that worldly business and that no relationship should be established with the kafirs. The real purpose in levying jizya on them is to humiliate them to such an extent that, on account of fear of jizya, they may not be able to dress well and to live in grandeur. They should constantly remain terrified and trembling. It is intended to hold them under contempt and to uphold the honor and might of Islam.
—-Ahmad Sirhindi (1564–1624) Islamic scholar and prominent Sufi. Regarded as having rejuvenated Islam, due to which he is commonly called “Mujadid Alf Thani”, meaning “reviver of the second millennium”

Religions who were created to hold people together, are now tearing them apart. Creating and starting wars. This was not the purpose of religions, who by the way are very old and contains no value in our intelligent developed world.

  33. Sarah says:

I’m an American and a pacifist. When the World Trade Center was hit, I confess my immediate reaction was that we should bomb the SOBs responsible for the attack. Although I quickly reconsidered, my countrymen were out for vengeance, and so we went into Afghanistan and later Iraq. Now more of our soldiers have died than citizens in the initial 9-11-01 attack, and many hundreds of thousands of people in the Middle East have likewise lost their lives. Furthermore we have bargained away many of our most precious civil rights and turned our lives upside down.

How has this helped anything? I truly feel the terrorists have won.

I wish peace for our friends in Norway. May you take the high road in this moment of crisis. May you not repeat our mistakes.

    • Bill says:

The terrorists have won? Osama bin Laden was killed recently… maybe you missed that news report.

Also, you say, “we have bargained away many of our most precious civil rights” ….. BUT in a later post you say we should start CENSORING OURSELVES!!!

I guess freedom of speech is not on your list of civil rights.

      • Sarah says:

        Let’s see, we’ve given up…

        – habeas corpus, to some extent
        – due process, to some extent
        – freedom of speech, to some extent
        – privacy, to a large extent
        – freedom from unreasonable search and seizure
        – the ability to just BOARD a stupid plane without submitting to interrogations and multiple personal violations
        – our very humanity, seeing as we have reduced ourselves to torturing prisoners

I may be wrong, but I believe the terrorists are happy that we have done these things to ourselves and that we are hurting as a society. I think they believe if we are made to suffer badly enough, we might reconsider our foreign policy in the Middle East. Unfortunately we seem not to be as smart as they hope we will be.

As for Osama Bin Laden? I don’t give a flying fig whether some old Al Qaida figurehead is dead. I really don’t. Not a bit.

And yes, freedom of speech is high on my list. However, with freedom comes responsibility. Just because we are (mostly) free to speak doesn’t mean we should say stupid things. Self censorship is NOT government censorship. I trust that you are smart enough to recognize the difference.

However, with all this said, I retract my glib statement that the terrorists have won. In truth everyone has lost. The terrorists will have won if/when their objectives have been achieved, namely the US and allies withdrawing from interference in their affairs. We will have won when we no longer suffer Islamic terrorist attacks, and when we restore the civil liberties we have compromised. I feel both sides can win together, and I hope someday we will be smart enough to achieve this mutual victory.

        • Bill says:

          A few things….

You say that freedom of speech is not the freedom to say “stupid” things. I’m sure Hitler would deem it stupid to say that “Jews are people.” Therefore, of course this is a slippery slope. What one person considers stupid another considers justice.

Second, if by “terrorists” you mean Al Quaeda, then you are wrong about their objectives. Read their web sites, they wish to reinstate a Califate with themselves as the rulers. They are angry not because we have invaded their countries (although, that is often their excuse) but rather they are angry because Western culture has spread into their culture and caused social upheaval. Arab women are starting to assert their rights, religious leaders are being questioned about their decisions (e.g. Iran), and so on. This directly impacts reactive people like Osama.

Islamic terrorists will, in the end, be defeated by their own educated populations. But we must be their to support those educated populations, not making excuses for their religious nutjobs.

To be honest with ourselves, these “Muslim” extremists are pretty clear about what they want. They want our troops out of the Middle East, and they want us not to insult their prophet. Isn’t it easier and better to do these things than to slaughter entire cultures? I mean let’s be honest about it.

What if THEY were the ones with all the nukes, and a few “Christian” extremist kooks killed a few of THEM. Would you accept that they have the right to kill YOU and your family for that act?

    • dasg says:

I don’t say they should do it this way, it’s wrong. But right now, innocents keep dying because of this shit. I will be 18 in 2 months, I still have a long life in front of me. I think till the end of my life, those idiots keep killing people. This shit will go on forever if no one does something. We can start wars over and over again, but innocent people will die, still the same result. You can’t compromise with people who are obsessed of killing people for “the greatest sake of all, allah”. Those people want to die as martyrs, die for the “greater cause”. Only way to stop this, is by wiping out a generation. What do you think the children of Osama Bin Laden will do when they grow up? Will they become doctors? Lawyers? Homosexuals living free as they want. I guess the answer is no.Terrorists teach their children to become terrorists. Their children will be brainwashed just like their parents were brainwashed when they were young.

Explain to me, how would you fix this? One thing: you can’t compromise if you aren’t religous.

      • Bill says:

        Well said.

I don’t know why Sarah thinks she can have a round-table discussion with terrorists. These are people who are willing to kill themselves to prove that their point is correct. The fact that the Koran encourages this behavior is only fuel for the fire.

My guess is that Sarah feels a kind of guilt as an American; however, this mind-virus that we can and should just sit down with the terrorists and have a chit-chat and come to a resolution is almost as bad of a mind-virus of religion.

The unfortunate point is that religious zealots who “love death as much as [Westerners] love life” cannot have a compromise with modern global culture.

      • kafur says:

        dasg you are right.

The best thing we can do is try to teach these blind lefties that all this assistance they give to Islam is only thought to be what they deserve from us lesser infidels, this is how they think. We must make them open their eyes and see whats happening. In my country UK muslims are taking over literally, they are dictating the rules and laws now.
Its very frightening cos I dont want my grandson forced to his knees five times a day to worship Allah…which is whats gonna happen.

Last year, two boys of seven were punished at school because they refused to pray to Allah in a religious education class. The muslim kids were doing their prayer and these poor kids were told to do the same prayer so they didnt upset the muslim kids…its the truth.

ALL our supermarkets except one sell only halal meat..so we are forced to eat meat that has been put to death slowly in misery as a chant was made over it facing mecca…. My family dont eat meat now, we eat quorn…but the supermarkets wont even mark up that its halal, so some people buy it not knowing.

This is all true..I dont want anyone arguing saying its a lie….. we have lost the uk to allah…and I tell you, there are MANY men prepared to take it back, and all hell could break loose one day if things dont change rapidly.

  55. Sarah says:

dasd, you wrote, “Explain to me, how would you fix this?”

War is one way, but it’s not the best way. In fact it is the worst possible way.

First, I would try to find out why they are attacking us. I would quickly discover, if I would only listen to them for a few moments, that it is because WE ARE ATTACKING THEM. This is not hard to understand. Suppose a superior Afghan military was carrying out operations in Norway and was launching covert operations in Sweden. Do you think any Norwegians would be upset about it? What do you suppose they might do in response? This is not hard to understand.

Second, I would seek to rectify the situation that makes them want to attack us. In this case, I would withdraw troops from Afghanistan. I also would not make a practice of insulting their prophet. While I don’t believe in government censorship, I do believe in self-censorship. Insulting a population in this way is very bad behavior, and it has rather predictable consequences, don’t you think? IMO, the editor should have apologized to the Muslim people.

It’s all about respect. Give it, and you will receive it back.

    • Bill says:

      In a word: No.

First, if you really think you can rationalize with a person bent on mass slaughter you have a naive view your ability to persuade obsessive people.

Second, if you really think that we can make a deal with these kind of people, you are also being naive.

Third, and most terribly, your view that we should censor ourselves for the benefit of terrorists is the most disgusting concept that seems to be floating around. There is NO COMPARISON to drawing a cartoon and mass murder. You may think that the cartoon example is silly, but then look at other real world examples.

For example, what would you say to Salman Rushdie? He deserves to die because of a book he wrote? Really? Try looking up a debate involving Christopher Hitchens vis-a-vis this issue and I think you’ll be quickly convinced that your opinion is quite the slippery slope.

      • Sarah says:

So this Jesus dude was a pretty dumb guy, eh?

The terrorists have been very clear all along. They say they will stop attacking us when we stop attacking them and meddling in their affairs. Not surprisingly (to me), they only seem to attack countries that attack them and meddle in their affairs. I’ve heard of no Islamic terrorist attacks on Brazil, for instance. Coincidence?

As to your third point, I invite you to walk up to the biggest, roughest guy you can find, and tell him his mother was a whore. That is certainly your right, at least here in the US. However, don’t be surprised if he punches you in the face. Is it his right to punch you in the face? No, at least here in the US. However, just don’t be surprised, OK? And if you DON’T want to get punched in the face, don’t tell him his mother is a whore. THAT, my friend, is common sense.

        • Bill says:

First, we don’t really know that Jesus ever existed. Second, to judge him by texts that were written long after he was dead by people who worshiped him seems, to me, a little biased. So, he may or may not have been a dumb guy. I don’t know and neither do you.

If by terrorists you mean Al Qaeda, then you are mistaken in their aims. They have latched onto the Palestinian crisis as well as Afghanistan in order to give credibility to their pathetic true desires.

You can see their desires on their web sites if you look past the “unjust war” excuses. They want to restore the Caliphate first to Muslim countries and then to the world. They will not stop until this has been achieved. Look into it.

And, of course Al Qaeda has attacked people who “meddle in their affairs” however, these people are not always foreign invaders. Al Qaeda wants to control Muslim populations, especially women, and Western culture and educated Muslims are fighting back against this. Al Qaeda has alienated many Muslims by attacking Muslim targets that they believe are corrupting their culture. Really, they are angry that their women aren’t as subservient as they used to be.

It is our duty to stand up to these bullies. We must help the educated Muslims who are fighting against these religious idiots. That is our moral duty.

        • Bill says:

On your calling a man’s mother a whore comment… well it’s a foolish argument but I’ll help you by explaining why it doesn’t make sense.

I have no reason to tell a man that his mother is a whore. He isn’t hurting anyone and his mother isn’t hurting anyone.

HOWEVER, if his mother were running a concentration camp I would feel it was my right to tell EVERYONE (i.e. media) about this. I would not care that the man or his mother might be offended by this revelation.

If you can’t see how your “common sense” doesn’t make sense here, then I don’t know what else to tell you…

        • Bill says:

Islam has been attacking non muslim lands for 1400 years. Its what they do. Then a country attacks them, and the muslims become the victims again. Its how muslims work love.
You can find all this out in our history on the web.

Muslims have been torturing and maiming and enslaving nations for hundreds and hundreds of years..

They have murdered hundreds of christians, hindus and others in the last two years in different countries.

When muslims stop killing non muslims then they start on other muslims who are the “Wrong sort” of muslims.

you really need to grow up and get educated. We are not in their countries for nothing, we are in Afghanistan to stop them flooding the world with drugs and to keep the world safe. We are in Iraq because it will implode if we leave it too early.

Islam is mad…get used to it

“Insulting the prophet”…well…they have launched the greatest insult to Christians in denying the deity of Jesus…. “The prophet” as you call him was a warlord, murderer, thief and paedophile……. this is all in the Qran…you can read it.

Why cant you insult the prophet??

Islam wants to get sorted out….muslims will be nice and smile until they have enough of them, then they start their demands and try to take the country like in uk (my country)

PLEASE go and learn about Islam, you clearly know nothing.

  62. Sarah says:

dasd, I won’t pretend to be a spiritual person, because I am not. However, I do believe in the moral teachings of a man I considered an important philosopher. He taught us how to live with each other, despite our basest instincts. You may read his perspectives on vengeance in Matthew, chapter 5:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

At first this might seem like foolishness, but history has proven it not to be. Only in the 20th Century, Ghandi used this teaching to win Indian independence, and our own Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. used this teaching to win essential civil rights for African American people. There is great power in love. Peace is the way.

    • Bill says:

I will not love my enemy. I will treat everyone with respect. If they disrespect me first though, they’re done.

Constantly loving your enemy who constantly abuses you is the most ridiculous form of masochism. Ask yourself this: Why did MLK and Ghandi use non-violent tactics? TO DEFEAT THEIR ENEMY. The reason they used non-violence was because a violent attack would have meant their inevitable defeat.

Please, please think about an issue before you blabber.

      • Sarah says:

On this same subject, it’s often said that with an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, eventually everyone will end up blind and toothless. So in my above example, you tell some big guy his mother is a whore, and he punches you in the face. OK, you then have him arrested and thrown in jail. He eventually gets out and beats you within an inch of your life. Then you hunt him down and kill him. What was achieved in all of this?

Would it not have been better if any of the following had happened?

        1. You forgave the guy for beating you up and didn’t kill him, or…
        2. The guy forgave you for having him thrown in prison and didn’t beat you up, or…
        3. You forgave the guy for punching you and didn’t have him arrested, or…
        4. The guy forgave you for insulting his mother and didn’t punch you, or…
        5. You didn’t insult the guy’s mom in the first place.

What if you had insulted his mom, expecting you might get a punch in the face, and he said, “My friend, that was a pretty hurtful thing for you to say. Let me treat you to a beer and tell you a few stories about my mom, because she was a really great lady.” You might think he was a real schmuck, but neither of you would end up dead or jailed, and if you took him up on his offer, you might end up being great friends. What’s wrong with that?

  64. Lystring says:

    Hi .

It is so sad that this things most happen.
I have been a muslim but converted to Jesus, and I know how much hate Islam gives.

I red the Quran and converted to Jesus instant, because Quran says ” kill christian and juwish, for they are enemies”.

So false prophet Muhammed also said Jesus was not crusified so he is Liar and become false prophet.

THERE IS ONE SOLUTION : DESTROY ALL MOSQUE , FORBID ISLAM, AND ATTACK ALL MUSLIMS COUNTRY AND REMOVE ALL MUSLIMS PRESIDENTS AND LET CHRISTIAN PRESIDENTS RULE OVER THERE.

So also all country should have execution to execute terrorist.

And also the truth, answer me : if a man have sex with a child is not he is criminal and pedofil? So is false prophet Muhammed , he is a murderer , pedofil and false prophet.

So simple Islam is of the devil and not true religion, for if it was from God they shoul have love Jesus because he came from God.

Also muslims dont believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He is the son of God read bible muslims.

  75. Sarah says:

Lots of interesting claims about the Qu’ran! It would seem it’s every Muslim’s duty to kill every non-Muslim (“infidel”).

There’s another religion we should fear equally. Their holy book states that anyone working on the Sabbath should be put to death. According to the traditions of that religion, the Sabbath is every Sunday. Care to guess what religion that is, and care to guess who would be put to death?

I’ve worked on many a Sunday, not being a religious person myself, and I’ve not once experienced so much as an angry word from any Christian about it. Nobody has stoned me to death (or even attempted it), and I’m not fearful that anybody ever will. I’ve also been invited into countless Christian homes, and I find Christians to be very hospitable people. Not a single one of them has ever killed me.

Similarly, I’ve known a few Muslim families. Their traditions are unfamiliar (“odd”) to me, but I’ve found Muslims to be extremely kind, gentle and hospitable people. I once had a field assistant who was Muslim. I was alone with him in remote places at odd hours in the morning. Not once did I fear for my safety. I considered him a good friend.

So yes, ancient people said some pretty screwy and barbaric things in their respective religious texts. However, I think we can’t use those texts to judge modern cultures. I am not prepared to condemn the Islamic universe on the basis of a few odd verses in the Qu’ran, any more than I’m prepared to condemn the Christian universe.

    • Bill says:

You are revealing a lot about yourself in this post Sarah… You find Muslim traditions “odd”… ok. You also mention that you never felt “fear for your safety” when you were alone with a Muslim… umm… why would you “fear for your safety” exactly? I’m assuming that person wasn’t a terrorist.

What I guess I’m hinting at here is that you seem to have a latent fear of Muslims and my guess is that you’re covering this by being overly accepting of their religious doctrine.

I don’t really find any Muslim’s traditions odd unless it is something that is harmful to other people.

Unfortunately, there are aspects of harming others in the Qu’ran. The punishment for apostasy, the killing of infidels and the barbarous treatment of women are only the tips of the iceberg and if you are trying to brush this aside by saying these are just “a few odd verses”, then you are simply wrong.

I do agree with the first part of your post though… Christianity is also quite capable of manufacturing craziness. That’s why I don’t believe in any religion.

      • Sarah says:

Bill, your psychologizing really grasps at straws.

I have no fear of Muslims. My point, which you apparently did not understand, is that I have no more reason to fear Muslims than I have to fear Christians. Both follow religious texts that say I should be killed, and yet nobody has attempted to kill me, either Muslim or Christian. I’m sure there are extremists out there from either religion who might indeed feel I should perish, but I feel these elements are rare. Fortunately the vast majority of people have their own moral compass, protests to the contrary.

        • Bill says:

But the people who follow Christianity or any other religion and act morally give moral cover for the crazies. The crazies will say, “Look how well most people act when they are religious”. At the same time they are slaughtering people.

And do you really think my psychological breakdown was that far off? You referred to a Muslim and said you weren’t afraid for you life… why a Muslim… why fearing for your life? Just seemed like a revealing thing to say is all…

          • Sarah says:

            Why a Muslim?

            uuuuummmmmmm….

Maybe because other people’s fear of supposedly bloodthirsty Muslims who want to kill all the infidels is the issue I was addressing?

    • kafur says:

      sarah

Those scriptures you recall are from mosaical and levitical laws, they are for the jews. Christians are under the new covenemnt of Jesus.
By faith we are saved through Jesus, not by observing laws from the past.

What you are refering to is the Torah…the new testament is christianity, and those laws have been made perfect in Jesus and do not apply to christians.

    Qur’an 3:3
It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong).

    3:7
He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: “We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:” and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

Al-Maeda [5:69] Those who believe (in the Qur’an) those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures) and the Sabians and the Christians― any who believe in allah and the last day, and work righteousness―on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Al-Hajj [22:17] Those who believe (in the Qur’an), those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,― Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for Allah is witness of all things.

What happened today was nothing short of pure evil. It makes me grieve that children were targeted. All I want to say is to please seek the truth. Consciousness will save us from the tyranny we are in. Ignorance and pride will cause us to destroy and do evil.

This is not an Islamic website. It might be a CIA creation. Muhammed is spelled with two mm’s not one. That guy might be a fake or a plant.

Please take the time to study and search for the truth. Not what the main stream media feeds you, but the truth. The main stream media is owned, including Al-Jazeera which top Jewish (Zionist) newshounds work for.

Look for the real reasons this happened, what’s behind it.

Religion is just a guide to teach us how to treat others properly. It’s hard for people to get. We’re all suckers at one time or another. Some of us take longer than others to understand it and practice what’s right.

I do know one thing and that is fear can make a person do evil and harm others simply because they’ve been conditioned to believe and fear others when they might have been lied to in the first place. Yes, a big lie, a big act to get people to rally behind… more evil, and exploiting people and resources.

Take the time to really do some looking and searching. You must be wise as serpents.

For what it’s worth, given the arrests last year in Norway of suspected Islamist terrorists and the charges made against Mullah Krekar earlier this month, based allegedly on threats of violence towards Norwegian politicians, I think that the claim on the forum was worth highlighting, was appropriately caveated (on Twitter) and was suitably updated when refuted.

It looks like people with an agenda didn’t bother reading the caveats or edits and are using the fact that this horrific atrocity turned out to be unrelated to Islamism to attack analysts doing, well, analysis, who quite naturally don’t get it right all the time. Perhaps they are unaware of the arrests last year and Mullah Krekar’s threats so were missing the broader context which made the online claim seem plausible.

it is a sad day indeed, but there is no reason to join in on the senseless prejudice don’t let someone else’s actions infect u. in the word of Martin Luther King jr. hate begets more hate we all have to share this world, one persons actions do not speak for anentire nation, religion or people the only people that our anger should be focused on r those few people that are responsible. just because the share a belief or happen to look similar to these criminal does not make them so. it is human nature to want to seek revenge on those that have hurt us, but nature and reason seldom align perfectly. think of it this way as a hypotheticl simple situation. your father gets into a fight with another man and as a result kills him, this man’s son then comes to kill your father, now you r angry with this young man tho all he did was to follow his nature, his instincts, like an animal. now i ask u how can u stop the killing? do u revert to your primitive instincts and seek revenge on this man? human nature tells us that is exactly what we should do, u hurt me i hurt u. now say u follow this nature n kill him. what do u now have? the answer is nothing except an enemy y would his son or brother or friend do anything but attack u or your loved ones, and the death toll rises a conflict continues the only way to stop this cycle is to be the person to forgive and forget, protect yourself? yes. there is no way of stopping another from continuing to feel this rage, however you can control yourself u can use your ability to reason to stop this conflict, and prevent further tragedy to yourself and those u love. and to those who take away from my words, the idea that the only way to truly stop this is to completly whipe out these people, i feel sorry for you for you are just as bad as those that attacked Norway this week, your hatred will only fuel the fires of violence and cause further suffering, it is only through cooperation that humanity can survive. it is sad that the violence that i’ve seen in my life time has caused so many to take up the feelings and piont of view of those who have caused this suffering, we must break this cycle through love and cooperation working with one another to achieve peace, instead of fighting with one another to create death.

If we continue down this path the END is closer than we know.

    Oslo

    Explosions and gunfire
    Nearly a hundred dead!
    Grief, confusion and ire
    We must have someone’s head!

    Who is responsible?
Who bore us such ill will?
    Jihadists claim responsibility,
So it’s Muslims we must kill!

    “Hey you islam fucks!
We will get you, one by one!”
“Not one of you will pollute this earth
By the time we all are done!”

“coat the bullets in pigs blood
so they burn in their own hell.”
“Show them what real terror is.”
“Time to go viking on their asses lol!”

    “Rather drop a nuke now,
    less innocent people will die.”
    “I hope they remember Oslo
    As they all fry!”

    As men prepared to fight,
    With hearts vile and black,
And as the children of Islam
    Braced for the attack,

    The truth emerged.

    You’ll never believe!
    Perhaps we’ve been too quick!
    They’ve caught the bastard,
    One Anders Behring Breivik!

    “He must be a Muslim!
    They’re among us, you know!”
No, he’s blond haired, blue eyed
    Skin white as snow.

    “But that means nothing.
He could still be a rag-head.”
    No, he’s a fundamentalist Christian.
Like you, he wants Muslims dead!

    Dumbfounded, we stared.

    Perhaps we have learned something
    We’d rather not know.
    We’ve seen in our hearts
    How our hatred can grow.

    We’ve learned it’s so easy
    Under bloodlust’s cruel spell
To let bigotry rule us and
Send the wrong man to hell.

    • Bill says:

But, he is a religious fundamentalist…

What difference does it make if he’s Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, or Shinto.

      All religious dogma is dangerous.

      • Sarah says:

So Bill, let me get this straight. You want to wipe out all people of faith? Perhaps you want to draw the line at some arbitrary point you would call religious “fundamentalism?” Or perhaps you just want to prohibit organized religion? And you call ME naive? ;-)

In direct response to a question you posed above, if bullied, I would not fight back. I would seek to make peace. I’ve lived my entire life this way (yes, I’ve been bullied), and it’s worked fine for me. I suspect I would have been bullied less if I had simply beaten everyone who ever smarted off to me with a chain. However, I would not have made the world a better place by doing so. That may not be important to you, but it’s VERY important to me. You see, it’s not just about me. It’s also about my children and their children. THEY have to live with the violence — or peace — whose seeds I sow. And so do you.

And in the end, I realize some people will never be peaceful. Some people will probably never be swayed. So should we kill them all to make our world a less violent place? Be careful of your answer, because the people who we would execute might just include you.

I wish you peace and wisdom, my friend.

        Take care,
        Sarah

This misquote displays your method of argument: lying.

          This discussion is finished.

          Sorry, you lost.

          • Sarah says:

This is a very strange comment. I never accused you of calling for the death of Muslims. Others here have done that, but not you. You merely hint at it. So I am left trying to figure out what your position is. Do you have one, or are you simply arguing for argument’s sake? Is your solution just to complain about the state of affairs and wallow in misery as it all happens?

If your only point is that you don’t like organized religion, I agree with you. I don’t either. Is that it?

        • Bill says:

You said, “You want to wipe out all people of faith?” in one post.

You said, “I never accused you of calling for the death of Muslims” in the next post.

          This is a contradiction.

Also, I was simply tearing down your poor mode of argument so I didn’t feel the need to explain what I think the best solution is, but it can be inferred from my previous posts.

Simply, we must be aggressive on all forms of terrorism wherever it exists. If that means war, then we must go to war.

My point of view is not Republican and not Democrat, and not socialist and not conservative … and so on. My point of view is my own.

Perhaps that is why you are confused here. Not everyone places themselves in a small box of ideology. I think for myself. I want you to start to do the same. Just because your generally a pacifist doesn’t mean you can never support a war.

If you say you are a pacifist in EVERY situation, you are blinded by your belief.

          • Sarah says:

I feel here that we have gotten a bit more intelligent in this discussion.

If you look carefully at the punctuation of the first line you quote, you will see a question mark. I sometimes make the mistake of typing a period at the end of a question, but I never make the mistake of typing a question mark at the end of a statement. ;)

Like you, I am not an easily boxed person, although I may look that way to you. And if I do have a box anywhere, you’ve probably identified it: pacifism. Oddly, if I do have a “faith,” that would be my faith also. For half a century now, pacifism has worked in my life, and I have faith that it will continue to work.

However, if I could jump in a time machine and go back to shoot Hitler, would I? I might. However, I strongly believe that evil leaders like Hitler are merely catalysts and that there must be strong hatred already in a society (reactants) for the evil (reaction) to occur. A catalyst without reactants is harmless. So maybe the Holocaust and WWII would have been inevitable under someone else’s leadership. It’s hard to say.

I do have faith in this, though: A few evil leaders cannot move a population of pacifists to do evil. So I feel the solution is to spread pacifism. Peace and love can be just as infectious as hatred and violence, and I seek to spread them. Sometimes I do a good job of it, and sometimes I don’t. I still try, though. I feel it’s my duty.

That said, I have always wrestled with the very issue you raise in your last statement, and I probably always will. It’s a valid point and lies at the very heart of the issues around which my beliefs are formed. So “check” on your part (and on that point only), but not mate. The game continues. (I really don’t like competitive games, by the way. My objective is truth, not victory.)

Again, I wish you peace and wisdom, my friend.

            Peace,
            Sarah

    • Sarah says:

One last thing, before I leave this discussion…

dasd, I don’t want you to think I have misinterpreted your moral dilemma as “bloodlust.” It’s true I quote you in my poem and added a couple of lines to complete the stanza. By doing so, I took your quote out of context, and for that I apologize. However, anytime anyone seriously suggests dropping a nuke on a population or committing genocide, I think it deserves highlighting, no matter how cool the thinking or how great the angst. Remember, it was cool minds who crafted the “final solution” in the middle of the last century.

  120. Sarah says:

One more thing that can’t go without mention in this discussion:

Before setting off the bomb and shooting all those kids, Breivik wrote a 1500 page manifesto, essentially condemning Muslim violence against non-Muslims and calling for a Europe-wide civil war in which both Muslims and Marxists are slaughtered.

So those of you who are calling for death to Muslims as a means of bringing about a more peaceful world, ask yourselves how you’re any different from Breivik. I submit the only differences are that (1) he also includes so-called Marxists in his hit list and (2) he was sufficiently motivated actually to kill peole, rather than just talk about it. Of course his attack was upon those he identified as Marxists, but he might just as easily have decided to blow up a Mosque that day.

People are always roundly condemned for comparing anything contemporary to Nazi Germany, so I’ll simply use a quote from someone else: Jonas Kallmyr a senior Progress Party leader, said encountering Breivik was “like meeting Hitler before World War II.” There are similarities in motives. Both were very quiet, thoughtful young men who recognized certain problems in society relating to discord between their own races/cultures and other races/cultures. Both saw the solution as the elimination of the other races and cultures.

Of course Hitler rose to power, striking a chord with other “Aryans” who hated other races and cultures, particular the Jewish. He persuaded them that these races and cultures needed to be cleansed from society. (They were not hard to persuade.) And then everything that happened thereafter was a step-by-step, logical process to execute his “final solution” — a solution that needed to be carried out for the good of the Fatherland.

So ask yourselves, those of you who want the Muslims dead for the good of the civilized world, how are you any different?

    • Sarah says:

Correction: He apparently wanted Muslims deported from Europe and the Marxists killed. I suppose that’s why the attack on the “Marxists.” (He couldn’t very well deport Muslims himself.) Perhaps he is a kinder/gentler sort of person for only wanting deportation of Muslims, while others are calling for outright genocide.

    • Bill says:

I haven’t read everyone’s posts, but I know that I have never recommended killing anyone.

Yet, if you look in a previous post, you accuse me of this.

Therefore, I guess you are making a similar claim about other people who have posted here.

Simply: lying doesn’t make for good arguments.

      • Sarah says:

As much as I’m sure you consider yourself the center of this discussion, I wasn’t addressing you.

      • Sarah says:

… and I see now, having reviewed your auto-pilot arguments with yourself, that you indeed don’t advocate for killing Muslims. You’re merely complaining about them. ;)

    • yuval Brandstetter MD says:

      Dear Sarah

No one wants the Muslims dead. One wants the God of Islam to die, because it is the same god, with the same ideology of Communism Nazism, maoism and every other Ism where an oligarchy assigns people to death, enslavement or conversion. The very fact that a Muslim is marked for death sould he doubt Islam, makes Islam not a religion but a political ideology of supremacism. I am quoting a “renegade” Muslim, son of Hamas, who realized the ideology he was taught was actually a death-cult, and identified the Islamic God as the one for humanity to disown.
