So how do the learned taxonomists of terrorism at Jihadica peg Nidal Hasan, the American Muslim psychiatrist and Major in the US Army who murdered 12 fellow soldiers at Ford Hood, Texas, and wounded over 20 others?
Was Hasan a “Salafist”? A “Qutbist”? A “Wahhabist”? A “Mahdist”? A “Deobandist”? A “Sahwist”? Any other “ists” you’d like to add to the list?
Or should we perhaps contemplate abandoning these suffixes (along with the usual adjectival buffers such as “extremist” or “traditionalist” or “conservative”) and go back to the original fount of the problem, Islam itself?
How many more attacks, and plots of attacks, must Muslims perpetrate, before you adjust your tragicomic taxonomy?
Zzzzzzzzzzzz……
Don’t feed the troll.
