I am starting a new job on Friday and will no longer be able to blog. I’ve been thrilled by the interest the site has generated and by the dispassionate, thoughtful analysis of its readers, who range across the ideological spectrum. I hope the positive response to this site in the blogosphere and media will encourage others with the requisite language and cultural expertise to undertake similar endeavors. Please drop me a line if you do.
I will keep the site online so that others can benefit from the primary source material I’ve gathered. And you can still reach me through the contact page.
Thank you for reading and responding.

That’s too bad! I hope you’ll return in the future.
Very sorry to see you go, but best of luck in your next venture!
Good luck in your new endeavors! I’ll miss your contributions here.
noooooooooo !
Very sorry to see the site go dormant . . . I check it every day and have enjoyed its insights. Anybody have a list of similiar sites?
Too bad for us readers, but I wish you all the luck anyhow!
Thank you ever so much for your time and effort; your presence will be greatly missed.
With my very best wishes for your new endeavour!
Damn Will, I rely on you! What are we going to do now? Better learn Arabic, I suppose …
Glad you hear you found new gainful employment. Sorry to hear I won’t be able to avail myself of your insights any time soon. All the best!
Will, your site was a must-read for me. Many thanks for all the hard work and keen insights. Good luck with your new gig.
I’ve greatly appreciated your blogging – thanks and continuing best wishes.
Thank you for the dispassionate, simple analysis and translations which just aren’t available anywhere else.
Thanks for starting up this blog.
Thank you for the information that was provided by this blog. I will miss it.
This is very sad news. Although the good news is that you are not letting the site die, the bad news is that the man behind it all is leaving. I thanked you when you first started this blog, and I thank you now for all the work you have done. Hopefully you and Andrew Exum are distant relatives, and you will be drawn back to this site.
